The Town of Kelvington invites applications for the position of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
Job Summary
We are seeking a progressive individual with the ability to work with the Town of Kelvington Council and employees, meet deadlines and achieve targets. The CAO, reporting to the Town of Kelvington Council, is the administrative head of the Municipality. The CAO provides valued, unbiased and strategic advice to the Town of Kelvington Council. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: interpreting and applying legislation; maintaining accounting records; managing financial resources; all municipal accounting required, Assessment and taxation, tax enforcement, liability statements, payroll processing, accounts payable and receivable, utility billings, knowledge of Community Planning and development and all applicable processes, municipal budget preparation, preparing financial statements, collecting revenues and controlling expenditures; project management and all other duties as outlined in the Municipalities Act. The successful candidate must be bondable.
